Why this private tour

What you won’t get on any other private tour

A walking tour of Málaga made for you, with the same technology behind our tours with over a thousand five-star reviews.

Málaga as it was centuries ago

At the stops you put on PICO 4 virtual reality headsets and see, in 360°, the monument in front of you as it once was. No other private tour in Málaga offers this.

Licensed official guide

Licensed by the Andalusian regional government, local and experienced: rigorous history told like a good conversation.

Nobody else in the group

No strangers and no waiting around: the guide is there only for you, so ask as much as you like.

A route designed around you

Tell us what you are into (Romans, Al-Andalus, Picasso, 19th-century Málaga…) and we build the walk around those stops.

Your day, your time

In the morning, late afternoon or squeezed between two plans: you set the pace and the breaks.

Hotel pick-up

If you are staying in the centre, the guide meets you at your hotel door for free. Otherwise we meet at a central spot.

Group wearing virtual reality headsets at the Roman Theatre of Málaga, below the Alcazaba

Alcazaba and Roman Theatre

Two thousand years of history on the same hillside: the theatre the Romans built and, above it, the Moorish fortress with its courtyards and gardens.

Through the headsets: the Roman Theatre packed with spectators, just as it was in its heyday.

Málaga Cathedral with its unfinished tower

Old town, Calle Larios and the Cathedral

The city’s most elegant street, Plaza de la Constitución and the Cathedral, nicknamed «La Manquita» (the one-armed lady) because of the tower that was never finished.

Through the headsets: Málaga in 1487, when the Catholic Monarchs took the city.

Statue of Picasso sitting on a bench in Plaza de la Merced

Plaza de la Merced and Picasso

The square where Pablo Picasso was born, his birthplace and the streets he walked as a child, close to the Picasso Museum.

Through the headsets: the Málaga Picasso knew as a boy.

FAQ

Questions about the private tour

How much does a private tour in Málaga cost?

The price is per group, not per person, and depends on the length, how many you are and whether you want to go inside any monument. Send us the date and number of people and we will send you a no-obligation quote.

How long does it take?

You decide. Most groups choose between an hour and a half and three hours, depending on the stops and whether you go inside any monument.

How is it different from a free tour?

On a free tour you join an open group with other people at a fixed time, and at the end everyone gives what they think it was worth. A private tour is just for you: you choose the day, time, pace and stops, the guide focuses on your questions and the price is agreed beforehand per group.

Can we choose which monuments to see?

Yes. We suggest a route and adjust it to your taste: Alcazaba, Roman Theatre, Cathedral, Gibralfaro, Atarazanas market, Picasso’s birthplace, Soho… Monument tickets are not included unless we agree otherwise when planning the route.

Which languages is it in?

In English or Spanish, with a native or bilingual guide. The headset reconstructions work in both languages.

Can children come?

Yes, and they usually enjoy it the most. From age 7 they use their own headset; under-7s share an adult’s. Children must always be accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Is it accessible for people with reduced mobility?

The old town route is flat and wheelchair accessible. The Alcazaba has slopes, steps and uneven ground, so it is not accessible; if someone in your group needs it, we adapt the route. Just let us know when booking.

What if we need to cancel?

We confirm the cancellation terms in writing when you book, before anything is final. If your plans change, let us know on WhatsApp as soon as possible and we will look for another date.

Do you pick us up at the hotel?

Yes, free of charge, if your hotel is in central Málaga: the guide will wait for you at reception or the entrance. If you are staying outside the centre, we meet at an easy-to-find central spot.
